The more-than-human-High Street

Working collaboratively with Co Lab Dudley and their Time Rebels project, The more-than-human High Street set out to explore the future of Dudley High Street where everything turns out alright.

Artists Helen Garbett and Bill Laybourne have hopes that the High Street will become more of a sensorial ecosystem, a place shared with plants, animals, land-forms and air-forms; many more than are currently found there. Utilising our curiosity and creativity to imagine a more-than-human future, maybe together we can start to change things for the better...

Over sixty local people participated in the project; some joined in with workshops, others engaged in conversation and yet more experienced the audio-visual installation at Co Lab Dudley during October 2021.
