Conversations with an Old Wall

Together with Riverside House we explored our local heritage by focusing on the early 19th Century boundary wall between the Stourbridge Canal and the Bradley Old Iron Works.

Using an archaeological approach to investigate beneath the brick surface a group of young people with learning disabilities and autism experimented with a range of  materials and techniques to examine the wall, the place and industry of the past.

Representation of our experience and our artwork was exhibited at the Ruskin Glass Centre as part of the International Festival of Glass in August 2017 and at the Waterside Gallery at the Canal and Tunnel Trust Hub in 2018.
