The Listening Project

Co-created with a dedicated team whose members have a learning disability the listening project mixed listening, recording and production of radio and sound art. 

Creating programmes about the team and their friends' experience of life in Wolverhampton, the project produced a dozen or more programmes broadcast on WCR 101.8 FM.

The team then began to explore deep listening and how sound can be a medium to creatively interpret important aspects of our lives, embarking on the Sounds of the City project, a sound survey of Wolverhampton from the team's unique perspective.

The project began in October 2017 and ended in September 2019.
